What is it about coffee? It's so funny that when your little; your views on coffee are so skewed (much like everything else) and when you finally make it to the years of long hours at the office, high heels and car insurance that you have a totally new relationship with coffee. For me, it's so much fun actually - coffee is such a great conversation starter and YOU know that even the toughest, sensitive conversations are somehow smoothed over and more comfortable in the presence of a piping hot latte or an icy machiato.

I also know that there are plenty of people not quite amused by Starbucks and their mass stabilization (perhaps slightly less stable right now, but thats not the point) - but you can walk into any Starbucks, anywhere, and find that comfort - in your cup, and in your chair. Trust me, I've explored many a tricky conversation at Starbucks all over this county, and the next, and the next and somehow, they work out.

Is that to say say coffee and it's ambiance is magic? Perhaps. But whether you're sipping it on your way to work or snuggling up with it in a SB's orrr a nice cafe.. it's soothing, one way.. or another.

I agree. My coffee ritual is one that I feel somewhat lost without...it's one of my comforts :)

I need coffee - but also LOVE coffee. Such a simple necessity that can be fancy or not - and found everywhere.

The hubs and I used to go Dunn Bros or Starbucks just to sip coffee and talk. With belt-tightening, however, we've changed locales (our kitchen!) but not the drink. Nothing's changed - the conversation is still great but this time, we get to do it in 'bumming around' clothes!
